I’m David—a husband, a father of two boys, and the person behind ZHCS.

My dad, John Zebrowski, carried mail in this area for 40 years and ran a painting business. Growing up and well into adulthood, I worked alongside him—joining him on his route or helping him paint homes. Working together was how we spent time together.

Dad and I both stood six-foot-eight. At that height, one thing is certain: you can’t hide. That shaped the way he did business, and it shapes the way I work today.

Earn people’s business. Do work you don’t have to hide from. Lead with honesty. If there’s a problem, fix it. When someone calls, answer the phone.

Since Dad passed away, I’ve continued working in the same communities. I carry his lessons into every job. Now I’m passing those same lessons on to my own sons. That’s how I keep our tradition going—and how I want people to know ZHCS.
